IB School Branding

The Modern School

The Modern School is a progressive K-12 school in Lucknow and had introduced the IB PYP curriculum. The challenge was to introduce and gain acceptance of the newly launched international program in Lucknow, one of the oldest cities in India, that largely depended on orthodox teaching methods. The school was branded in line with standard principles and practices of the International Baccalaureate (IB) curriculum.

Project Description:

The Modern School, a progressive K-12 school in Lucknow, India, implemented the IB PYP curriculum in the school. The challenge was to introduce and gain acceptance of the newly launched International Baccalaureate program in Lucknow, one of the oldest cities in India, that largely depended on orthodox teaching methods.

We developed a 360 degree branding blueprint to address all communication areas – brand identity, internal branding, advertising (print & digital), events and processes for stakeholder interactions. These are summarized below:

  • Brand Identity: Standardization of logo usage, colour scheme, fonts etc., student uniforms, badges & all marketing collateral.
  • Internal Branding: Branding of school property, primarily, reception, Principal’s office, hallways, classroom, signage, library etc.
  • Advertising: Newspaper coverage, billboards, banners, website development, social media integration & vehicle branding.
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Standardization of all interactions among stakeholders, inline with brand personality & the culture of the school.
  • Events: Ideation, collateral design including invites, standees, certificates, special badges etc.
